Ota City Kumagai Tsuneko Memorial Museum 30th Anniversary Exhibition (Late) "Tsuneko and the Calligraphy Hitsuji"

The Ota Ward Tsuneko Kumagai Memorial Hall was opened in 1893 after renovating the home where the calligrapher Tsuneko Kumagai (Kumagata Tsuneko 1986-1990) lived. In 2020, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the museum's opening, and to celebrate this opportunity, we will hold a commemorative exhibition.In this exhibition, Tsuneko's masterpieces and books and materials that Tsuneko has cherished will be exhibited, and we will look back on our interactions with people of the same era.

In the latter half, Tsuneko exhibited her first solo exhibition at the age of 1976 at Takashimaya in Nihonbashi, Tokyo in 83, and her early work "(Rinsho) Sakumatsuan Shikishi" (around 1945) and her late husband in 1982.・ In commemoration of the opening of the Kyukyodo Gallery, where Koshiro worked, we will exhibit works such as "Hana to Mi" (89) exhibited at the graduation exhibition held at the age of 1982.In addition, the book of grandfather Ema Amae (1825-1901), brother Tsutomu Ema (1884-1979), teacher Saishu Onoe (1876-1957), and another teacher Okayama Introducing works such as Takakage (Okayama Matakage 1866-1945).

The teacher, Takakage Okayama, said, "In the end, the calligraphy is a person," and Tsuneko worked on the calligraphy with that word as the motto.Tsuneko also played an active role as a female calligrapher in the research of Kana, "I don't think this road should be another power application. ..We will trace the life of Tsuneko through interaction with Tsuneko and people with whom she has a connection.
