The fifth performer is soprano singer Kurumi Kawamukai, who is expected to be a rising star in the opera world, having appeared in the Nikikai New Wave opera Deidamia and played the role of Ida in the Aprico opera/operetta Die Fledermaus.
Enjoy her dynamic singing voice, which is hard to imagine from her beautiful appearance!

Profile

Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Vocal Music, majoring in soprano, and completed the master's program in Opera at the Graduate School of Music. Received the Acanthus Prize and the Doseikai Prize upon graduation. Enrolled as a scholarship student in the 66th Nikikai Opera Training Center Master Class, and received the Excellence Prize upon completion. Started playing the violin at the age of 6, entered Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Arts High School as a violinist, but switched to vocal music in her third year. Selected for the role of Pamina in an audition held at the school, she performed in the same role in the 3th Geidai Opera Regular Performance "The Magic Flute". Other roles she has played include Fiordiligi in "Cosi fan tutte", the Countess in "The Marriage of Figaro", Frasquita in "Carmen", and Lola in "Cavalleria Rusticana". Soprano soloist for the 67th Geidai Symphony No. 6. Scheduled to appear as Nerea in the Nikikai New Wave performance "Deidamia" and Ida in Ota Ward Aprico Opera "The Bat". She studied vocal music under Yoko Ehara, the late Naoki Ota, Midori Minawa, Jun Hagiwara, and Hiroshi Mochiki. She is a recipient of the 2023 Munetsugu Angel Fund/Japan Federation of Musicians Domestic Scholarship Program for Emerging Performers. She is a regular member of the Nikikai Society.

I am soprano Kurumi Kawamuki. I feel very honored to be able to perform at the "Aprico Song Night Concert". I hope to be able to perform songs that I will continue to cherish and sing, from Japanese songs that I want to continue singing as a Japanese person to gorgeous opera arias. I hope to be able to share a wonderful time with you all through music.

Satoko Tada (piano)

Profile

After graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music, he majored in instrumental music and piano. He performed at the Imperial Palace Momokagakudo Concert hosted by the Imperial Household Agency. Upon graduation, he served as an assistant accompanist at the university. He is especially known for his vocal performances, and at the awards ceremony of the 30th Italian Vocal Concorso, he received an exceptional compliment as a pianist from special guest judge Marcello Abbado. He has performed with tenor Ken Nishikiori more than 350 times at recitals across Japan. As a unique performance activity that is not limited to genre, he has provided private piano instruction for YOSHIKI of "X-JAPAN" and has appeared as a supporting performer at live shows at NHK Hall, Nippon Budokan, and Tokyo Dome. He is scheduled to perform with violinist Atsuko Tenma at the annual Tokyo Bunka Kaikan recital in January 2024, following his January 1 performance. He is a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts.
