We will present Bunraku puppet theatre, one of Japan's most representative traditional performing arts, which has been continued since the early Edo period. Please enjoy this comprehensive art form that combines the tayu, shamisen, and puppets.
In the evening, to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the death of Chikamatsu Monzaemon, the Bunraku masterpiece "The Love Suicides at Sonezaki" will be performed.
