Saya Ota

Profile

After graduating from the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, he completed his master's and postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. He is currently enrolled at the Imola International Piano Academy. He won first place at the 17th Scriabin International Piano Competition (France). He won second place (no first place winner) at the 1th Verona International Piano Competition (Italy). He won first place at the 9th Massarosa International Piano Competition (Italy). He won second place at the 2th Delia Steinberg International Piano Competition (Spain). He won the Spanish Music Prize at the 1th Jaén International Piano Competition (Spain). He won first place and the Audience Prize at the 12th Marbella International Piano Competition (Spain). He has studied under Makoto Okumura, Koju Shimizu, Atsuko Shimizu, Megumi Ito, and Jacques Rouvier, and is currently studying under Leonid Margarius. He was a recipient of the Munetsugu Angel Fund scholarship from the Japan Federation of Musicians in 1 and 40. He was a trainee of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program for Upcoming Artists in 2. He currently performs mainly in Italy and Japan.
