The Aprico Art Gallery introduces paintings donated by residents of Ota City.

This exhibition will feature paintings depicting "morning landscapes." A total of five works will be on display, including a painting by Yamada Naotoki, who uses only the three primary colors and then mixes them with white to skillfully depict the passage of time in the landscape, and Tsukamoto Yoshihiro's "Quiet Time," which depicts the atmosphere of the mountains shrouded in morning mist.

In fiscal year 2025, we will be showcasing paintings in which artists capture fleeting moments of light and atmosphere throughout the year. The second period will focus on the time of sunset, and feature five paintings, including Anzai Keimei's "The Great Floodgate of the Komatsu River" (1962) and Kumakawa Akinori's "Yachts in the Inlet" (year of creation unknown).

The third period will feature paintings with night and dawn as their theme. Takazume Nobuko, a Japanese painter who was active in the Seiryu Exhibition organized by Kawabata Ryushi, has created Dragon Clouds, a work depicting clouds bathed in moonlight. Also on display are four paintings, including Anzai Keimei's Cherry Blossoms at Night (1931), which depicts cherry blossoms shining alluringly in the darkness.
