Date and time: Sunday, February 2024, 2 [4st] Starts at 1:10 [30nd] Starts at 2:14
Venue: Ota Civic Hall, Aprico Large Hall
Number of participants: [1st time] 28 people [2nd time] 30 people

Three children were absent from the first session and two from the second session due to poor health on the day, but the other children gathered in high spirits at the Aprico Large Hall. Workshops are often limited to participants only due to venue size, but this time, an open workshop was held, with parents and the general public also able to observe. The purpose is to create an opportunity for children to feel closer to opera. The children who were participating were sent the script, lyrics (the Do-Re-Mi song), and a video (an opera singer singing the Do-Re-Mi song) in advance, and the day came.

Direction and script: Naaya Miura (director)
Gretel: Ena Miyaji (soprano)
Wizard: Toru Onuma (baritone)
Fellow children: Workshop participants
Piano & Producer: Takashi Yoshida
The opera curtain opens and the workshop finally begins!

The children gathered on stage. First, they did some simple vocal exercises, then practiced the choreography to "Do-Re-Mi Song."

Next up is acting practice.

It's finally here!

Each time, they stood on the stage, acted, and sang loudly. Although the instruction was given in a short time, they performed well without forgetting the flow. It was wonderful. At the end, we took a group photo!
