Reiwa 5rd year OTA Art Meeting

“OTA Art Meeting” is an online meeting that started in 2 as a place for residents to interact and invite guests and lecturers.
The purpose of this meeting is to listen to a wide range of opinions and requests, share information about cultural and artistic activities, and build new networks.
We hope to create a place that provides an opportunity for people to take an active role in cultural and artistic activities, and to revitalize cultural and artistic activities in Ota Ward and increase the appeal of the area.

In today's world where diversity is highly sought after, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games have led to an increase in opportunities for people with disabilities to come into contact with culture and the arts, and they are also playing an active role in these fields. This time, we will invite guests who are involved in activities and support for people with disabilities to talk about diversity and the arts in Ota Ward. We will explore what diversity is and the future possibilities and initiatives for people with disabilities and the arts.

Yuna Ogino (artist)

Born in Tokyo in 1982.He primarily creates semi-abstract paintings using flowers and people as motifs.In recent years, he has exhibited numerous oil and acrylic paintings both domestically and internationally, including in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States.In addition to exhibitions, he also works on live painting, murals, and graphic design. In June 2023, Kyuryudo Publishing will publish “Traces of Life,” the second collection of his works. After completing graduate school at Tokyo University of the Arts in 6, worked as an art instructor at private junior high and high schools in Tokyo. From 2007-2010 he served as a teaching and research assistant at Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2012, together with members of the Ota Ward Training Society, we launched a class called ``Workshop Nokonoko,'' where anyone can create art in the same place, and currently holds classes three Fridays a month at Saport Pia in Ota Ward with two instructors. Yuki Yashiki (MUJI Granduo Kamata Manager)

Lives in Tokyo.He has previously held managerial positions at MUJI stores across the country, including Lazona Kawasaki, Canal City Hakata, Shinjuku, and Grand Front Osaka. From August 2023, he will be working at MUJI Granduo Kamata.He has used MUJI stores as a platform to connect with the local community and promote indigenization, such as by holding a painting exhibition together with the Ota Ward Shimoda Welfare Center.

Noboru Tomizawa et al. (Ota City Shimoda Welfare Center Management Section Chief)

 

Born in 1964 in Ota-ku, Tokyo. After graduating from university, he worked for a private company before joining Ota Ward Office in 1988. In 2019, he was transferred to Ota City Shimoda Welfare Center. As the person in charge of the Ota Ward Production Activities Support Facility Liaison Committee (Omusubi Liaison Committee), he is working to improve the wages and social participation of people using facilities for people with disabilities in the ward.
