Reiwa 4rd Summer Vacation Art Program

Animation EMAKI machine[End]

In 4, we asked Mr. Riki Matsumoto, an artist who is active in domestic and international exhibitions based in Ota Ward, to be a lecturer.Mr. Matsumoto uses a hand-made video device called a “picture scroll machine” to create video works that capture each drawing frame by frame.
This workshop is part of a series of workshops Mr. Matsumoto has been holding for many years both in Japan and overseas, called the "Dancing Doll Workshop". Pictures drawn by children are photographed with the "Emakimono Machine" and edited into one animation. It is a very nice video work that mixes the creativity of the children and Mr. Matsumoto.

  • Date and time: August 4 (Wednesday) and 8 (Thursday), 3, twice in total
  • Lecturer: Tsutomu Matsumoto (painter, video/animation artist)
