Ryushi Memorial Museum
We have published a book entitled "Registered Tangible Cultural Property: Former Kawabata Ryushi Residence/Ryushi Memorial Museum" |
The Ota City Ryushi Memorial Museum and the former Kawabata Ryushi Residence were registered as national tangible cultural properties in March 2024.
This book was published to commemorate this occasion, and features seasonal photographs of the main house, inner gate, guest room, Buddhist hall with its display of Buddhist statues, art studio, and garden of the existing Kawabata Ryushi residence. It also provides architectural commentary, various origins, and stories of how the residence survived the war, along with drawings and other materials.
