Aprico Uta Afternoon Concert Performer Audition (2026 Performers)

A new program to support young artists, the "Aprico Song Night Concert," will begin in 2023. From 2025, the program will change to the "Song Afternoon Concert," and the performers will be two soloists in a joint concert, bringing the charm of diverse vocal music to residents and the local community.
We will be holding the 2026 performer auditions for young vocalists who want to make their singing voices resonate in the resonant Aprico Large Hall. Please take advantage of this opportunity to gain practical experience. Starting this year, the first round of selection will also be a "practical" audition (private). The second practical audition will be "open to the public."

Regarding the cost
  • Please note that travel and accommodation expenses for auditions (including arranging an accompanying pianist), meetings, rehearsals, performances, etc. must be borne by the individual.
  • If you appear in the 2026 performance, you will be paid after the performance ends.

Second selection: Practical (open) examination

Venue Ota Ward Hall / Aplico Large Hall
Singing test content Japanese song (1 song) and opera aria (in the original language)
* Programs must consist of at least one song each and be no longer than approximately 1 minutes (including intervals between songs). The number of songs is optional.
*Opera arias should be cut at appropriate times to keep the performance within the time limit.
Pass / fail result We will contact you by email around Wednesday, November 2025, 11.

Important Notices Regarding Selection

Document
  • Your application data will not be used for any purpose other than this selection process.
  • If there are any missing or significant deficiencies in the information entered in the application form, your application may not be accepted. Please check the information before submitting it.
1st and 2nd Practical Exams
  • Song entry is required in the application form (原語-Japanese translation-Performance time).
  • Each participant must arrange for their own accompanist, page turner, etc.

Regarding the appearance concert

  • Successful applicants will be scheduled to perform in 2025 by December 12. Details such as dates will be provided at the time of the second selection, so please make the necessary arrangements.
  • From the 2025 performance, the content will be changed to a joint concert by the two successful applicants. (The accompaniment pianist is negotiable.)
