Calling all participants for the Magome-Omori "Imaginary Town Walk"!!

What kind of town do you all live in?

As you walk, try imagining what the town might have looked like, or what its stories might be. It's sure to be interesting.
Let's take a stroll through the towns of Magome and Omori while letting our imaginations run wild!

The research findings will be exhibited and presented at the "Magome Literary Village Festival" to be held in December.

Theme: "Games"
Let's try playing a fantasy town walk game!

Capacity 10 people (Participation in all 3 sessions is recommended; if the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, a lottery will be held.)

Staff Profile

Living Room Theater (Art Team)

An art team. They create works based on existing "places" and the "behaviors" that exist within them. By combining performance with real-world situations, they create unique, experiential works.
Since 2024, they have also been running the "Baby Observation Project," a program that focuses on observing infants and toddlers.

Takeshi Fukuda (actor)

Actor. Member of the contemporary theater group Nakano Naruki + Frankens. Began solo performances in 2010. Performs works that blend fact and fiction, such as fake folk tales, fortune telling, radio programs, and tea rooms, in cafes, museums, trains, and connecting passages both in Japan and abroad.

Shinya Sato (architect)

Professor of Architecture, College of Science and Technology, Nihon University, and Director of Hachinohe City Museum of Art. His specialty is the architectural planning and design of arts and cultural facilities (museums, theaters, and halls). In addition to architecture, he is also involved in the production of art and theatrical works, including structural design for art projects, production assistance for tour-type works, and dramaturg for urban theater productions. His works include the renovation design of "Arts Chiyoda 3331" (2010), the "House of Atreus Project" series (2010-), and a member of the planning committee for the "Toshima Art Station Concept" (2011-17).

What is Magome Literary Village?

Do you know the people known as the "Magome Writers" who used to live in the Magome and Omori area?
About 100 years ago, many writers and artists lived in this area where you now reside. They are no longer here. Most of the houses where they lived no longer exist.
But if you take a walk around town and let your imagination run wild, you might get the feeling that someone was there.
You might also be able to imagine what will happen in the future.
"Imaginary Town Walk" is a workshop where you can let your imagination run wild about all sorts of things.
