Kawabata Ryuko (1885-1960), a Japanese-style painter, is known for his style of pursuing new Japanese paintings and drawing them on a large screen with a dynamic brush stroke.On the other hand, after the war, Ryuko also worked on classical subjects and collected Katsushika Hokusai's "Thirty-six Views of Tomitake".In this exhibition, "Angry Fuji" (1944) and "Hataku" (1960), Ryuko challenged to express the composition of "Yamashita Shiraame" in "Thirty-six Views of Tomitake" on a large screen.
