Do you know Magome Writers' Village, which can be said to be a cultural heritage of Ota Ward?
About 90 years ago, from the end of the Taisho era to the beginning of the Showa era, there was an area where a wide variety of cultural figures such as novelists and painters gathered and lived and interacted with each other in Omori, Ota Ward.
This is an exhibition that introduces the excellent translations of two translators, Hanako Muraoka (1893-1968) and Kinetaro Yoshida (1894-1957), who lived in Magome Writers' Village, with illustrations.Five illustrators have drawn illustrations for this exhibition, featuring the famous scenes of Hanako Muraoka's "Anne of Green Gables" and Kinetaro Yoshida's "Adventures of Tom Sawyer".Please enjoy with the excellent translation of the translator related to Ota Ward.
